Breakfast Seminar
| Patrick Devlyn was the featured speaker at a breakfast seminar designed to inform local business leaders
about the programs of Rotary International. The Club introduced its fund raising program to benefit the Polio-Plus campaign. We shall sell wristbands imprinted "Rotary Against Polio". We also recognised two community leaders for their support of our programs.

Special Auction for Polio Plus
| During each Sunday of the month the Club realized auctions to
raise money for the Polio-Plus campaign. These were held at the Hong Kong restaurant. The first auction featured koi from the Hong Kong fish pond.

RITE Program to teach English in Cancun's Public Schools; (RITE = Research in Integrated Training &
Education)
|
2.- | During recent years we have hosted RITE teachers who came to Cancun from Texas (U.S.A.). They give no cost
instruction to students who vary in age from elementary to high school level. This year (2007) Sherry Bishop of Lewisville, TX will be teaching appoximately 90
beginning level students as she gives RITE English classes at four different community centers operated by the D.I.F. (government family services & support agency)
She is being assisted by Kas Chudleigh, a high school foreign exchange student from Australia, and Brian Levin a "walk-on" assistant from the metropolitan
Chicago area in Illinois. |

| 1.- | Every year Mothers' Day is commemorated by placing a wreath at the Statue to Motherhood which the Club built in 1985.
We also typically present small appliances and other gifts to needy mothers.
